I joined the Legend Singers in 1967 and sang for two years. I rejoined the group after I retired in 2010. I currently sing with the St Louis Symphony InUnison Chorus, and previously sang with the St Louis Background Society Chorus. Singing with the Legend Singers enables me to help keep the spirituals alive ensuring they are not forgotten by the younger generations.

I sang with Dr. Billups from 1963-1966 in the Sumner High School A Cappella Choir, and joined The Legend Singers in 1976. I have also sung with the In Unison Choir and currently sing with the Songs of Africa as well. I feel blessed to be able to sing and give Praise.
I am a new member of The Legend Singers. A native of Panama City, Panama, and the 7th son of a cocoa bean farmer, I came from a musical home where my mother played piano and my father played guitar and pipe organ. As a boy, I dreamed of becoming a soldier, so I migrated to Philadelphia and joined the US Army, then later served in and retired from the US Air Force. I have sung with various church choirs and quartets, and presently sing with the St. Louis Symphony's InUnison Chorus and the Cote Brilliante Presbyterian Church's Men's Choir. Singing has always been a part of my life.

A proud graduate of Sumner High School, I attended Lane College, graduating from Tennessee State University with a BS in Civil Engineering and Mathematics, and qualified for a B.S. in Mathematics. In 2000, I starred as the Tinman in the production of The Wiz at the CIBC West End Academy. I am one of the newest members of The Legend Singers! I have been singing in choirs an ensembles since the age of 8. State choir & musicals in high school fed my love of music! A music minor from UMSL introduced me to Maestro Dr. Robert Ray, who broadened my horizons and brought me to the InUnison Chorus. As I am always ready to continue learning and expanding those horizons, the Legend Singers were the next logical step forward. From my original music to classical and spiritual, I is always happy to take or share the spotlight, as long as it makes a joyful noise!
