I have sung with The Legend Singers since 2010. I previously was a member of the West Side Missionary Baptist Praise Team and the Sanctuary Choir. Music is my passion and it fuels my soul.

I am one of the newest Legend Singers. I also sing with the St. Louis Symphony's InUnison Chorus.
I have been a member of The Legend Singers for 15 years. As a burgeoning vocal pedagogue, composer/arranger, ethnomusicologist, and educator I have learned immeasurable musical and non-musical skills alike from The Legens Singers and its esteemed director, Dr. Doris Jones Wilson. She and the "Legends" are truly the best-kept secret in choral music.

I have sung with the Legend Singers for about 37 years. I've been musical all of my life, beginning with piano lessons at age 5, playing clarinets and singing with various choirs along the way. Currently, I direct the Piedmont Area Community Chorus and The Trinity UMC choir. My experiences with the Legend Singers have been second to none; the combination of wonderful music and the camaraderie of the group is the great Joy Ride of my life.

I was encouraged by two members of my church - former Legend Singers - to audition. I finally did so in early 1987, after Dr. Billups’ passing in 1985, and have never regretted the decision! I have sung with the Pilgrim Congregational Church Choir, West End Community Chorus, serve on the board of AfricaArts.org, and have played several musical instruments. Learning to perform our culturally rich and diverse repertoire of music is challenging but ever so rewarding to the soul!

I joined The Legend Singers in 2000. I have sung in church choirs, with the Harris-Stowe Concert Chorale, and have performed at Disney World, Gov. Mel Carnahan’s Inauguration, the Kansas City Jazz Museum and various cruise lines. I especially enjoy singing jazz that crosses spans of decades.
